A little over a year ago, Jeremy and Angela Cook heard the dreaded words that no parent ever wants to hear. They were told their four-year-old daughter Analiese had cancer. After being airlifted from her hometown of Brookhaven, Analiese was diagnosed with high risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the Children’s Cancer Center at Batson Children’s Hospital. Since her diagnosis, she has undergone chemotherapy treatments and has just completed 10 days of cranial radiation. Analiese will continue to undergo chemotherapy for another two years. This 4-year-old has seen a lot in her short time, and yet her bubbly personality still shines through. Analiese can be seen walking around the Children’s Cancer Center with her signature “Elsa” beanie. Thankfully, Analiese is on the road to full recovery. Angela praises the Children’s staff for making their family feel as comfortable and secure as possible during a very scary and unknown time in their lives.
