a message from our President

Welcome to RebelTHON 2018!

My name is Hailey Cooper, and I will be serving as RebelTHON President for the 2017-2018 year.  Our Board of Directors has already been hard at work in order to secure RebelTHON 2018’s unprecedented success in fundraising FOR THE KIDS of Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS.

We serve as a part of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ national Dance Marathon movement, which sees college students raising funds and awareness year-round across college and high school campuses across the country.  Students organize fundraising events and drives throughout the year, and each spring, we culminate our efforts with a 12 hour Dance Marathon, where we celebrate our Batson patients and their families.  Staying on our feet the entire 12 hours through games, food, and (of course) dancing, we work to raise awareness for the doctors, patients, nurses, and parents at Batson, who work tirelessly to end childhood illness and improve the lives of Mississippi’s children.

The thing that sets RebelTHON apart from other philanthropic efforts is the fact that every dollar, every minute given to this cause is changing the world for these kids.  Each individual’s contribution of time, money, materials, and/or participation puts us one step closer to getting the patients at Batson out of their hospital beds and into our schools, parks, and dance marathons, where they belong.  Thank you for visiting our website, and I sincerely hope that you will join us in fighting for the children of Mississippi, whether that be through donations of funds, time, resources, or participation!

Hotty Toddy & FTK (For The Kids),
Hailey Cooper
President of RebelTHON 2017-2018
